DevOps Engineer (AWS) – Contract or Permanent

About the role

NCS Australia is seeking motivated DevOps Engineers to join a growing engineering team. You will support automation, deployment and operational management of enterprise applications on AWS, working in agile delivery environments. Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Provision infrastructure and configure environments.
• Monitor cloud platforms, respond to alerts and incidents.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and deployment processes.
• Contribute to Infrastructure‑as‑Code initiatives using Terraform or Ansible.
• Support cloud platform administration and operational activities.
• Assist with monitoring, logging and observability practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on deployments and issue resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement and automation projects.

Required profile

• Foundational experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash or similar.
• Understanding of Infrastructure‑as‑Code principles.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine operational and deployment issues.
• Capability to work under general supervision within established frameworks.
