Developer Programmer – Big Data & Cloud (GCP)

About the role

The Developer Programmer will join the Data Office team within a Telecom practice, focusing on designing, building, and supporting big‑data and cloud‑based solutions. You will work on end‑to‑end data pipelines, cloud platforms, and production support for the Data Office application.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Data Office services and components on GCP.
• Develop, test, document, and support the Data Office application throughout its lifecycle.
• Execute the full software development life‑cycle, including integration, verification, and quality assurance.
• Modify existing code to fix errors, improve performance, and optimise resource‑intensive SQL queries.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Resolve incidents, manage tickets, and perform unit testing for enhancements.
• Document code changes, prepare review documentation, and participate in peer reviews.
• Monitor SLA compliance and conduct monthly quality audits.

Required profile

• Strong experience with SQL, UNIX/Linux environments, and Apache Spark.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain data processing and transformation pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑based big‑data technologies, especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to take ownership of tasks.
