Data Engineer

About the role

The organisation is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain modern data pipelines and cloud‑based analytics platforms. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure and scalable data solutions that enhance reporting and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows.
• Build and support cloud‑based data solutions using Azure technologies.
• Develop and optimise ETL and data integration processes.
• Support large‑scale data processing and analytics environments.
• Manage and maintain data storage solutions and performance optimisation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across data engineering platforms.
• Develop Power BI datasets, dataflows, workspaces and reporting infrastructure.
• Ensure data security, governance, compliance and access controls.
• Monitor data platform performance and proactively identify improvements.
• Lead and contribute to data migration activities and reduction of legacy data silos.
• Assess data integrity, identify quality issues and gaps.
• Document data engineering standards, processes and technical requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
