Cyber Security Analyst – 12‑Month Contract (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join a high‑performing security operations team supporting an Australian Government organisation. The role is a 12‑month contract with a possible 12‑month extension, working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the operation and uplift of micro‑segmentation capabilities across enterprise environments.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to cyber security alerts, incidents and anomalous activity.
• Assist onboarding activities, including traffic‑flow analysis and policy development.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to improve security operations and response capability.
• Develop operational documentation, procedures and security artefacts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Cyber Security Operations within large enterprise organisations.
• Strong understanding of networking, systems administration, cloud and endpoint technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to investigate complex security incidents and analyse telemetry.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell or Python is highly regarded.
