Cyber Incident Responder – Contract (Canberra)

About the role

Digital10 is seeking an experienced Cyber Incident Responder to join its Canberra team on a contract basis. The role focuses on identifying, analysing, and mitigating cybersecurity threats while providing clear communication to stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Detect and respond to security incidents promptly, following end‑to‑end incident response procedures.
• Investigate security breaches, gather evidence, and determine root causes.
• Deploy appropriate countermeasures using Microsoft security tools.
• Produce comprehensive incident reports and recommendations for remediation.
• Communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years hands‑on experience in a cyber security incident response role.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft security tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Azure Sentinel).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Desirable certifications: GIAC GCIH, GIAC GCFA, and relevant Microsoft security certifications.
