Credit Controller – Finance Team

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, you will manage customer accounts, oversee collections and support cash‑flow optimisation while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily bank reconciliations and customer receipting.
• Prepare daily cash‑flow reports and two‑month cash‑flow forecasts.
• Process new customer trade account applications and monitor credit risk via Creditor Watch.
• Manage credit note processing, update credit limits and stop‑hire statuses.
• Liaise with internal departments on accounts receivable and collection matters.
• Ensure credit policies and procedures are consistently applied.
• Reconcile customer accounts, maintain master data and manage overdue accounts.
• Implement strategies to maximise cash flow and minimise bad‑debt exposure.
• Review and release orders on credit hold in line with policy.
• Provide monthly major‑account reconciliations and reporting to the Group Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
