Contract Trainer - Building & Construction

About the role

MBV is seeking an experienced contract trainer to deliver nationally recognised training units in building and construction. You will use your industry background to provide practical, engaging learning experiences for apprentices and professionals across Victoria.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training for CPC40120 Certificate IV and CPC50220 Diploma units, both face‑to‑face and online.
• Incorporate real‑world construction examples to illustrate concepts and best practices.
• Assess student competency, record outcomes, and give constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with MBV staff to ensure training materials meet industry standards.
• Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records.
• Provide guidance on environmental compliance, waste management and sustainability.
• Stay current with construction regulations, standards and emerging trends.

Required profile

• Current experience in residential and/or commercial building construction.
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).
• CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction and/or CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills and a passion for upskilling the industry.
