About the role

This full‑time position is based in a major regional referral hospital in South‑West Victoria, offering a unique blend of professional challenge and coastal lifestyle. As a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician you will lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes and provide specialist care to patients recovering from complex illnesses and injuries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and management of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation patients.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes.
• Develop individualised rehabilitation goals and treatment plans.
• Support patients recovering from stroke, neurological disorders, trauma, orthopaedic surgery and complex medical conditions.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and service development initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to education, teaching and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Rehabilitation Physician (or international specialist seeking registration in Australia).
• Experience in managing complex rehabilitation cases across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient‑centred care.
