Construction Manager – HV Transmission & Substation Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of major high‑voltage transmission line and substation projects in Western Australia. The role oversees all site‑based construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality execution from mobilisation through commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end site delivery of HV transmission and substation construction projects.
• Manage daily construction activities across civil, structural, electrical, HSE and commissioning scopes.
• Oversee subcontractors, supervisors and site teams to meet safety, schedule and budget targets.
• Coordinate construction sequencing, site logistics, shutdowns, outages and energisation activities.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, forecasting and productivity; produce reporting and risk mitigation plans.
• Ensure all ITPs, RFIs, NCRs, permits and project documentation are accurately completed and maintained.
• Collaborate with project engineering and commissioning teams to support testing and handover.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager on infrastructure, utilities or energy projects.
• Strong background in transmission lines, substations or large‑scale civil/electrical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary site teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Solid commercial acumen, including budget and contract management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
