Community Engagement Manager – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

Australia Post is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to lead the delivery of engagement plans across diverse Australian communities. Reporting to the Senior Customer Communications and Stakeholder Manager, you will ensure consistent, clear communication that drives participation and supports the organisation’s transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the consistent delivery of community engagement plans, creating high‑quality collateral and materials.
• Design and implement initiatives that inform, involve and encourage community participation.
• Leverage customer and community insights to shape communications and engagement activities.
• Build and maintain strong internal relationships with teams such as Internal Communications, Media, Government Relations, Social Media, Marketing and Corporate Responsibility.
• Protect and enhance Australia Post’s brand and reputation through collaborative stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or communications within a large, complex corporate or government environment.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and community‑focused with the ability to simplify complex information.
• Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment and balance strategic and tactical demands.
• Awareness of brand, reputation management, risk and corporate governance.
