Clinical Pharmacist (Grade 1/2) – Temporary/Contract Role

About the role

The award‑winning Northeast Health Wangaratta team is seeking a compassionate Clinical Pharmacist (Grade 1 or 2) on a temporary or ongoing contract. You will join a multidisciplinary pharmacy service delivering generalist and specialist medication management across a range of clinical rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy and medication management services in assigned rotations (e.g., dispensary, oncology, ICU, mental health).
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient, comprehensive service delivery.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy interns and students on placement, offering feedback and education.
• Represent the pharmacy department on working groups and committees as a subject‑matter expert.
• Assist in scheduling and coordination to maintain seamless service across a 6‑day fortnight roster.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with eligibility to practice in Australia.
• Experience in clinical pharmacy rotations, preferably within hospital settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to work across interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
