Client Service Officer – Library Desk (Melbourne)

About the role

The Digital Services Directorate at CQUniversity is seeking a Client Service Officer to work at the library desk on the Melbourne campus. You will provide friendly, client‑focused support to students and staff across a range of enquiries, both in‑person and through phone, video and online channels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patrons with library services, information retrieval and basic ICT issues.
• Guide users in accessing learning systems and digital resources.
• Deliver support via face‑to‑face interactions, telephone, video calls and online chat.
• Perform routine administrative tasks to maintain a high‑quality service environment.
• Collaborate with team members while also working independently as needed.

Required profile

• Experience in a library or client‑service setting.
• Strong customer focus with a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Well‑developed problem‑solving, planning and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently.
