Casual Teacher (Autism Spectrum)

About the role

Aspect Hills Shire School is seeking casual teachers to join its specialised autism‑specific programme starting Term 3, 2026. You will work in a state‑of‑the‑art primary school environment, supporting students on the autism spectrum through evidence‑informed teaching practices.

Key responsibilities

• Create and adapt learning environments that meet the individual needs of autistic students.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated teacher aide, families, and multidisciplinary professionals such as school psychologists, speech therapists and occupational therapists.
• Develop and deliver quality learning programmes using best‑practice autism education strategies.
• Maintain small class sizes to ensure personalised attention and support.

Required profile

• Passion for working with children on the autism spectrum.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, student‑centred teaching approaches.
