Casual Depot Assistant – Recycling Customer Service

About the role

Join Return‑It as a Casual Depot Assistant, providing friendly, efficient service at our recycling depots. You’ll help customers sort their recyclable items, handle refunds, and ensure a smooth, safe operation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist customers with their recycling returns.
• Sort recyclable items into the correct categories.
• Transport items to the appropriate storage area using manual handling or forklift equipment.
• Handle cash transactions and issue refunds accurately.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety procedures, reporting any hazards.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Support staff training to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality or retail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Positive “can‑do” attitude with a focus on customer service.
