About the role
Sky Nexus is seeking a full‑time Business Development Specialist to join its Melbourne office. You will be responsible for creating new revenue opportunities for the company’s IT and information‑security solutions, working closely with both prospects and internal delivery teams.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, outbound calls, emails and meetings.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline for IT and cybersecurity services.
- Present Sky Nexus offerings in a clear, value‑driven manner to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to develop tailored proposals and support contract negotiations.
- Track activities, results and forecasts in CRM tools and prepare regular sales reports.
- Continuously refine prospecting approaches based on performance data and feedback.
Required profile
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
- Proven experience in lead generation, prospect qualification and pipeline management.
- Analytical mindset for market evaluation and sales performance analysis.
- Background in business development, sales or account management within IT services, cybersecurity or technology consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently on‑site and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
