Banking Consultant – Customer Service & Sales (Mt Isa)

About the role

The S&S Banking Consultant provides high‑quality sales and service to customers in Mt Isa. You will interact face‑to‑face and via inbound and outbound calls, handling everyday banking enquiries, account openings and digital onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer‑obsessed service that drives satisfaction and first‑call resolution.
• Provide accurate information on everyday banking enquiries, account openings and processes through phone and online channels.
• Educate and support customers in using digital banking platforms, encouraging self‑service.
• Assist with digital onboarding to ensure a seamless experience for new clients.
• Listen actively, build trust and ask the right questions to exceed expectations and improve NPS.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, privacy legislation and underwriting guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering high‑quality customer experiences in a banking or financial services environment.
• Comfortable using digital customer‑service platforms in real time.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen, build trust and ask relevant questions.
• Commitment to balancing people, customer, risk and performance outcomes.
