Associate Design Manager

About the role

Aurecon is expanding its Digital Infrastructure practice and seeks an Associate Design Manager to lead the design of mission‑critical data centre facilities. You will work closely with hyperscale and enterprise clients, influencing design strategy from concept through delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary design teams across electrical, mechanical, ICT and architectural disciplines.
• Guide configuration, resilience strategy and system integration for high‑density data centre projects.
• Oversee concept design, detailed engineering and technical documentation to meet reliability and constructability standards.
• Facilitate design workshops, technical reviews and risk assessments.
• Act as a trusted technical partner to clients, supporting strategic decisions.
• Contribute to practice growth through pursuits, innovation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Architectural Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years delivering mission‑critical facilities, preferably in hyperscale or enterprise data centres.
• Strong technical understanding of high‑density electrical distribution, cooling and thermal management, redundancy architectures, ICT/network infrastructure and integrated building services.
