Associate Corporate Counsel – Legal (Sydney)

About the role

Amazon’s legal department is seeking an Associate Corporate Counsel to join its fast‑growing AU Stores Legal team in Sydney. You will work on a variety of strategic projects, technology‑driven offerings, and day‑to‑day legal matters supporting business and product development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support strategic projects, agreements and new technology‑driven offerings.
• Counsel business and product development teams on a wide range of legal issues.
• Collaborate with local and international legal colleagues to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice, analyze and resolve issues, and manage pre‑litigation disputes and inquiries.
• Deliver ongoing advice on competition, consumer law and other regulatory matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of legal experience.
• Law degree and admission to the relevant bar association.
• Experience in private practice or in‑house legal roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams in a fast‑changing environment.
