Associate Construction Litigation Lawyer – Sydney

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Construction Litigation Lawyer to join a global disputes platform in Sydney. You will work on high‑profile energy and infrastructure projects, handling complex litigation and arbitration matters across Australia and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Supreme and Federal Court litigation, international and domestic arbitration, expert determinations, adjudications and other ADR forums.
• Coordinate multi‑jurisdictional matters involving contractors, principals, insurers and technical experts.
• Provide advice and support for negotiations with government stakeholders on project cancellations or restructurings.
• Handle injunction proceedings and defect issues on large‑scale transport, metro rail, desalination and renewable energy projects.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with associate‑level experience in construction or infrastructure disputes.
• Demonstrated experience on PPP, transport or energy projects is highly regarded.
• Proven ability to manage complex litigation or arbitration components and interact directly with demanding commercial clients.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of construction law, litigation and arbitration processes.
• Experience coordinating multi‑party disputes across courts and ADR forums.
• Ability to interpret and apply contractual and regulatory frameworks in large infrastructure projects.
