Associate Construction Litigation Lawyer

About the role

This associate position focuses on construction and infrastructure disputes for a global litigation platform in Sydney. You will work on high‑profile energy, transport and social infrastructure projects, handling litigation, arbitration and other dispute resolution mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Supreme and Federal Court litigation, international and domestic arbitration, expert determinations and ADR forums.
• Handle multi‑billion‑dollar road, tunnel, metro rail, desalination and energy infrastructure matters.
• Address cladding defects, portfolio‑wide issues, injunctions and negotiations related to project cancellations or restructurings.
• Coordinate with contractors, principals, insurers and technical experts across multiple forums.
• Provide advice to top‑tier corporates, developers and government bodies on complex construction disputes.

Required profile

• Associate with strong construction or infrastructure disputes experience in a leading disputes team.
• Background in PPPs, transport or energy projects is highly regarded.
• Confidence managing complex litigation or arbitration components.
• Ability to work directly with demanding commercial clients.
