Assistant Category Manager – Skincare

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Australian retailer as an Assistant Category Manager for its high‑performing skincare division. You will work in a dynamic, customer‑obsessed environment, supporting the Category Manager in driving sales, promotions and supplier relationships across a fast‑moving portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate promotional and campaign execution, including pricing updates and catalogue proofing.
• Maintain product data, manage pricing changes, and ensure promotional accuracy.
• Communicate with suppliers, review submissions, and support relationship management.
• Analyse category performance, produce reports, and provide competitor insights.
• Assist with retail media, branded activity, and promotional forecasting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as marketing, retail media and finance.

Required profile

• Commercially minded with strong organisational skills.
• Experience in a high‑volume retail environment (pharmacy, beauty, FMCG, grocery, etc.) or a related support function.
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven setting.
• Analytical and detail‑obsessed with a passion for consumer trends.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (V‑Lookups, Pivot Tables)
