About the role
We are seeking an Application Developer with a focus on DevOps to join a Federal Government technology team. The role is a 12‑month contract (with two optional extensions) and can be based in Canberra, Melbourne or Adelaide.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with solution design and contribute to technical design artefacts.
- Build, configure and enhance system components and integrations following agreed standards.
- Participate in sprint delivery, integration and testing activities.
- Support quality improvement through testing, defect resolution, automation of routine tasks and documentation updates.
- Transfer knowledge to team members and refine workflows.
Required profile
- Proven experience in C# or Java development.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams within a digital or IT environment.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute across design, build and test phases.
- Exposure to integration‑focused platforms such as BDE, SBR or DSG.
- Hands‑on use of Azure DevOps for tracking work, bugs, issues and risks.
