Advanced Trainee - General Medicine

About the role

The Hospital, a specialist referral and trauma centre located 150 km east of Melbourne, is seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Trainee in General Medicine. Starting in August 2026, the role is full‑time (86 hours per fortnight) and offers a supportive regional lifestyle with excellent schools, health and transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day medical care for in‑patients under the direction of senior medical staff.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality patient outcomes.
• Participate in clinical rounds, handovers and documentation as required.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree with eligibility for advanced trainee placement.
• Willingness to relocate to or reliably commute to Traralgon, VIC.
• Authorization to work in Australia.
• Commitment to a fixed‑term contract and flexible working conditions.
