Account Manager

About the role

Join Elgas Limited as an Account Manager responsible for a defined territory in Darwin. You will own a portfolio of customers, build trusted relationships, and drive commercial results for our LP Gas business.

Key responsibilities

• Support achievement of LP Gas sales budgets across volume, margin and product group targets.
• Collaborate with appliance sales teams where appropriate.
• Build and grow an existing customer base while meeting branch volume and margin goals.
• Develop strong, trusted relationships through consistent, well‑planned engagement.
• Manage a structured call schedule and deliver high‑quality customer interactions.
• Plan and organise monthly activities, submitting planners and reports on time.
• Identify growth opportunities in the geographic area and share leads with the broader team.
• Monitor and share insights on product performance, margin, volume and competitor activity.
• Support customer re‑signs by preparing business cases within Delegation of Authority guidelines.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date customer information in systems.
• Build and support relationships with trade partners.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in field sales or account management.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Results‑oriented mindset balancing customer needs and commercial outcomes.
• Effective negotiation and constructive problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with internal teams.
• Commitment to safe working practices and promotion of safety.
• Current, valid driver’s licence.
