Year 5 Teacher (Part‑time)

About the role

The Year 5 Teacher will join Dale Christian College in Wungong on a part‑time, on‑site basis. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons to upper‑primary students while upholding the College’s Christian values and commitment to student wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons across English, Mathematics, Humanities, Science and Health for Year 5.
• Create differentiated learning activities to meet diverse student needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and families.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and participate in staff meetings, professional learning and school events.
• Contribute to pastoral care and promote social‑emotional development.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Bachelor of Education) and eligibility for teacher registration in Western Australia.
• Experience teaching upper‑primary students, preferably Year 5.
• Strong curriculum planning, classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to an inclusive, safe learning environment that reflects Christian values.
• Current Working With Children Check and other required clearances.

Required skills

• Proficiency with educational technologies and digital tools for teaching, learning and reporting.
