Workshop & Store Assistant

About the role

Powins Pty Ltd is looking for an energetic Workshop & Store Assistant to join its team in Forrestdale, WA. This full‑time position supports the day‑to‑day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the workshop and storage areas run smoothly and safely. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory order and assisting with logistics tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety standards in workshop and storage areas.
• Receive, check and store incoming inventory following established procedures.
• Assist with picking, packing and dispatching orders to customers.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular stock checks and support inventory management systems.
• Load and unload vehicles and materials as required.
• Report damaged goods, discrepancies or safety concerns to management.

Required profile

• Physical fitness for regular manual handling, lifting and carrying.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic numeracy and literacy for recording inventory.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification if not already certified.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (certified or willing to be certified).
