Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant (OT, EP or PT)

About the role

KINNECT is looking for a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, who is a qualified Occupational Therapist, Exercise Physiologist or Physiotherapist. Candidates at all levels, from new graduates to experienced consultants, are welcome. The role covers workplace rehabilitation and injury prevention services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess injured and ill workers to determine the best strategies for their return to work.
• Visit workplaces to understand the challenges injured and ill workers face and educate employers on the health benefits of good work.
• Case manage complex injuries and coordinate with treating doctors and health professionals to support recovery and return to work.
• Provide clinical opinions and detailed reports.
• Partner with organisations to deliver additional services, including ergonomic assessments in workplace, home and vehicle settings, job dictionaries and manual task risk assessments.
• Lead manual handling training and implement stretching and warm-up programs.
• Conduct pre-employment assessments, including drug and alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision and functional testing.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA or ESSA.
• Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
