Welder / General Hand

About the role

Eptec is looking for safety‑focused Trade Assistants to start immediately on infrastructure projects across Greater Sydney. Based at the Regents Park site, you will work hands‑on supporting crews with a variety of construction and maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with general site maintenance, labouring duties and manual handling tasks.
• Perform painting, surface preparation, cutting, grinding and removal of damaged vent structures.
• Support scaffolding, elevated work platform (EWP), rigging and crane operations.
• Carry out touch‑up painting, minor concrete repairs and replacement of sewer vent shafts.

Required profile

• HR Licence (essential) and White Card (OHS Card).
• Experience in construction, industrial or trade‑assistant roles is highly regarded.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and police check.
• Valid driver’s licence; truck licence and EWP certification are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficient use of hand and power tools.
• Painting and surface‑preparation techniques.
• Cutting and grinding of metal or vent structures.
• Operation of elevated work platforms and working at heights.
