Wash Plant Operator - Mardie

About the role

BCI Minerals is developing the Mardie Salt Operation and Potash Project, a tier 1 solar evaporation project supplying high-purity industrial salt and sulphate of potash. As the Wash Plant Operator you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of the wash plant, monitoring and controlling plant performance through control systems such as SCADA/DCS, adjusting parameters to optimise production rates, maintain product quality and respond to changing conditions. The position is a permanent full-time FIFO role based at the new Mardie Village.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant performance via SCADA/DCS and adjust parameters to optimise production and product quality
• Work with Production and Maintenance teams to inspect equipment, identify issues and coordinate troubleshooting and repairs
• Record flow rates, temperatures and product moisture levels and report plant performance and incidents to the Production Supervisor
• Support coordination of raw salt feed and product dispatch, shift handovers and communication of plant status
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reliability

Required profile

• Previous experience operating a wash plant or similar mineral processing facility
• Experience monitoring and interrogating HMI control systems
• Construction Induction Card and WA White Card
• First aid and CPR qualification
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint)
• Current unrestricted working rights for Australia; a national police clearance within 6 months
