About the role
The Vice-Chancellor's Research Fellowship at RMIT offers outstanding researchers the opportunity to lead transdisciplinary applied projects that address societal, economic and environmental challenges. Fellows will work within one of three priority areas – Regenerative and Sustainable Futures, MedTech Innovation, or Digital Innovation – and will be supported to generate high‑impact outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Design and conduct high‑quality, collaborative research projects aligned with RMIT’s strategic priorities.
- Secure competitive research funding from national and international sources.
- Produce scholarly outputs such as journal articles, patents, and industry reports.
- Engage with industry partners and research organisations to foster collaboration.
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to RMIT’s research community.
Required profile
- Hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification.
- Demonstrated experience leading research teams and delivering impactful results.
- Track record of obtaining competitive research grants.
- Evidence of successful collaboration with industry or external research entities.
