Veterinary Receptionist – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, organised Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact at Hilton Vet Centre in Hilton, Adelaide. The role is full‑time and on‑site, supporting both clients and the veterinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s booking system.
• Greet clients and their pets, provide information and comfort during visits.
• Assist with patient intake, record keeping and handling payments.
• Coordinate emergency slots and liaise with veterinarians on treatment options.
• Distribute treats, celebrate patient milestones and help reunite lost pets with owners.

Required profile

• Loves animals and treats them as family members.
• Enjoys interacting with people and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Can multitask phones, appointments and conversations without stress.
• Shows empathy, resilience and a good sense of humour in a busy environment.
• Willing to learn veterinary terminology on the job.

Required skills

• Strong verbal communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic computer literacy for scheduling and record‑keeping.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and simple administrative tasks.
