Veterinary Nurse – Mortdale & Punchbowl

About the role

Greencross Vets Mortdale and Greencross Vets Punchbowl are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse for a full-time position. The role spans two busy, well-established small animal clinics managed by the same Practice Manager, offering a varied caseload of medical, surgical and dental cases alongside experienced veterinarians and nurses.

Key responsibilities

• Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring
• Hospital nursing and patient care, including monitoring and caring for hospitalised patients
• Assisting with consultations, diagnostics and treatments
• Laboratory and pathology work
• Dental nursing and dental procedures
• Client communication and education
• Reception support when required
• Maintaining clinical and infection-control standards and supporting clinic operations

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Veterinary Nurse in a clinical setting
• Confident across a broad range of nursing duties, with strong surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Organised, proactive and able to manage a busy caseload
• Passion for patient care and client service
