Veterinary Nurse (Full-Time / Part-Time)

About the role

Greencross Vets Mt Gravatt in Brisbane is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join its team on a full-time or part-time basis. The role is hands-on and varied, covering surgery, hospital patients, consultations and client care, in a clinic co-located with Petbarn that has a steady flow of referrals.

Key responsibilities

• General nursing duties, including pre- and post-operative patient care
• Assist veterinarians during consultations and procedures
• Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
• Anaesthetic monitoring and patient recovery
• Collect and process pathology samples
• Hospital patient care and dental nursing
• Minor procedures where required
• Maintain hygiene in the clinic, including surgical areas and equipment
• Handle client enquiries by phone, in person and by email
• Support reception and administrative duties when needed

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
• Experience across medical and hospital nursing
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and excellent communication and customer service skills
• Positive, proactive attitude and a team-first approach

Required skills

• Strong surgical nursing skills
• Confidence in anaesthetic monitoring and patient care
• Experience with RxWorks (desirable but not essential)
