Veterinary Associate – Full‑time GP Clinic

About the role

Greencross Deeragun is seeking a full‑time Veterinary Associate to join a well‑established GP clinic in a relaxed coastal suburb of Townsville. The role offers a balanced mix of consults and soft‑tissue surgery across a steady, varied caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, personalised care to patients and clients, including routine consults and soft‑tissue surgery.
• Collaborate with experienced vets and nurses to work through cases and build strong client relationships.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive clinic culture.

Required profile

• Veterinary degree recognised in Australia and registration or eligibility with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland.
• Team‑first mindset, willingness to learn and confidence (or desire to build confidence) in general practice.
• Strong communication and client‑care skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital X‑ray and modern diagnostic equipment.
• Experience or training in soft‑tissue surgery within a general practice setting.
• Ability to use a fully equipped surgical theatre and manage separate dog and cat wards.
