Venue Supervisor – Indoor Entertainment Centre

About the role

The new indoor entertainment and activity centre in Melbourne is seeking a Venue Supervisor to lead daily operations during assigned shifts. You will ensure a safe, organised, and enjoyable experience for families, children, and adult visitors across multiple activity zones.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day venue operations, maintaining safety, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Lead and coordinate frontline staff, managing task allocation, break schedules and on‑shift performance.
• Monitor safety and order across all activity zones, including toddler play, inflatables, trampolines, sports courts, climbing, adventure activities and go‑karting.
• Address customer enquiries, minor complaints, safety concerns and on‑site incidents promptly and professionally.
• Assist the Venue Manager and Assistant Manager with staff training, opening/closing procedures and equipment safety checks.
• Support the execution of Party Room bookings for birthdays, group events and private celebrations.
• Record and report safety incidents, customer feedback, staff observations and operational issues each shift.
• Provide additional assistance during peak periods, including crowd control and queue management.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory experience in a play centre, trampoline park, family entertainment venue, sports facility, hospitality or high‑volume customer service environment.
• Strong English communication skills; native speakers preferred.
• Experience working with children’s activity venues or similar high‑traffic settings is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated responsibility, safety awareness and leadership ability.
• Calm, solution‑focused approach to customer issues and operational pressure.
• Availability to work shifts that may include weekends, public holidays and school holidays.
• Valid Working with Children clearance.
