Underwriter – Commercial

About the role

Join DUAL’s motivated underwriting team in Melbourne to manage a portfolio of commercial clients across various industries. You will work closely with brokers and internal teams to achieve underwriting goals and deliver first‑class client experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate quotations, bindings, policy conditions and mid‑term adjustments.
• Negotiate rates and terms with brokers.
• Follow up offers of quotations and renewals.
• Update reporting systems and maintain accurate records.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships, including client office visits and presentations, which may involve interstate travel.
• Answer broker enquiries promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Experience in General Liability and Financial Lines underwriting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for presentations and client interaction.
• Ability to understand diverse industries and assess market risk.
