Underground Bogger Operator (FIFO Perth)

About the role

Gold Fields is looking for an experienced, safety-focused Bogger Operator to join its crew at the Granny Smith gold mine. You will safely load, haul and dump ore and waste from underground development headings, production stopes and stockpiles. The role reports to the Supervisor Underground Production and suits someone who takes pride in their work, looks after their equipment and works across both production and development areas. It is a permanent position with a FIFO roster of 8/6 days and 7/7 nights, starting from Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CAT 2900 and CAT 1700 underground loaders (boggers) safely and efficiently
• Load, haul and dump ore and waste in line with mine plans
• Maintain development headings, production stopes, stockpiles and tipping areas
• Complete pre-starts, identify and report hazards, ground conditions and equipment issues
• Work with underground truck drivers and other operators to load and haul efficiently
• Stay fit for work on all rostered days and contribute to a strong safety culture

Required profile

• Proven experience operating underground boggers in both production and development crews; Teleremote experience with RCT is highly regarded
• Experience in underground hard rock mining, including watering, bogging, scaling and trucking development
• Commitment to safety, respect, responsibility and collaboration
• Current manual C class driver's licence
