Transport Driver – Metro & Regional

About the role

The Transport Driver will provide safe and efficient heavy‑vehicle transport and logistics services for Corrective Services NSW and its CSI clients across metro and regional locations. You will be responsible for moving food, freight and sensitive goods while complying with all relevant legislation and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver heavy‑vehicle transport services in line with RMS legislation, NHVL and CSNSW procedures.
• Complete and maintain accurate delivery documentation, both manual and electronic, to support traceability and reporting.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs and ensure vehicles remain safe and compliant.
• Handle enquiries promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide feedback on client and customer experiences to support service improvement.

Required profile

• Current NSW Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence (HC Heavy Combination or HR Heavy Rigid) with willingness to upgrade if required.
• Valid Service NSW driver printout.
• Forklift Licence or willingness to undertake training.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to undertake training.
• Proven experience as a transport driver, including safe food handling under HACCP guidelines.
• Strong understanding of CoR, HVNL, WHS and related legislation.
