Transport Coordinator

About the role

Metroll Bunbury is looking for an organised Transport Coordinator to join its operations team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will coordinate daily transport activities, ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently, executed on time and meet safety and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily delivery schedules and allocate vehicles and drivers.
• Communicate delivery requirements and updates to customers.
• Liaise with drivers to manage priorities, changes and any delivery issues.
• Coordinate loading schedules with production and warehouse teams.
• Monitor delivery progress, resolve issues and ensure accurate documentation.
• Support compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR) requirements.
• Assist with driver scheduling, vehicle coordination and transport administration.
• Maintain transport records and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Highly organised, solutions‑focused individual comfortable in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Proven experience in transport coordination, logistics, dispatch or scheduling.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently, make decisions quickly and maintain attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and high levels of customer service.

Required skills

• Understanding of transport operations and delivery processes.
• Experience with coordinating drivers and managing competing priorities.
