Transport Coordinator

About the role

Sims Limited is seeking a Transport Coordinator to optimise fleet operations and drive cost‑effective logistics across its network. You will work closely with sales, operations and external delivery partners to ensure allocations meet customer expectations while complying with safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement flexible allocation models that uncover new service opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external delivery partners.
• Communicate allocation decisions to customers promptly and accurately.
• Forecast demand and plan resources to keep logistics efficient.
• Schedule orders to maximise volume, profitability and service levels.
• Ensure all decisions comply with Chain of Responsibility and NHVR fatigue‑management frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Fleet allocation and scheduling capability.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Understanding of fatigue‑management regulations.
