Transport Coordinator

About the role

The Transport Coordinator will join a national FMCG logistics team based in Western Sydney. Reporting to the logistics leader, the role supports the end‑to‑end road transport operation across Australia, ensuring freight moves smoothly between distribution centres, third‑party storage and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage scheduling for inbound and outbound freight across multiple locations.
• Resolve transport issues, rejected deliveries and shipment variances promptly.
• Enter and maintain shipment and inventory data accurately in ERP and reporting tools.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers, warehouse teams and internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Review transport charges against invoices and flag inconsistencies.
• Organise freight movements between distribution centres, third‑party storage providers and transport companies.
• Support coordination between warehouse, inventory and logistics functions to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Provide accurate shipment updates to internal stakeholders and arrange delivery windows and loading schedules.
• Handle shipment‑related queries and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Assist with operational administration tasks related to transport, procurement, warehousing and supply chain activities.

Required profile

• Solid experience managing transport activities within an FMCG or 3PL environment.
• Proven ability to work at pace and make autonomous decisions.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and strong Excel proficiency.
• Working knowledge of CoR and occupational health & safety (OH&S) requirements.
