Transformation Director

About the role

The College of Law, the largest provider of practical legal training in Australia and New Zealand, is moving from planning to execution as legal education faces significant regulatory change. Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer and working with the Executive Steering Committee, the Transformation Director will lead the enterprise-wide transformation of the College over approximately two years, turning the future operating model into an executable plan and delivering it as the central integrator across the Executive Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transformation roadmap from strategy through to implementation and embedding.
• Coordinate workstreams across operating model redesign, process optimisation, technology enablement, workforce transition and capability uplift.
• Establish governance and reporting, manage risks and dependencies, and remove delivery blockers.
• Lead change management and equip leaders to sustain change.
• Own benefits realisation, tracked through robust KPIs, while keeping the College running.

Required profile

• 7 to 10 or more years' experience leading large-scale, enterprise-wide change programs, with core expertise in program management and strategic planning.
• A relevant tertiary qualification; postgraduate qualifications and professional certifications are highly desirable.
• A background in education or law is not required; experience in a commercial environment such as professional services, banking or telecommunications will help.
• High emotional intelligence, strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to influence CEOs and senior executives.
• Results-driven, pragmatic, resilient and able to make decisions with imperfect information.
