Transactional Banking & Finance Lawyer – Senior Associate

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Senior Associate transactional banking and finance lawyer in Sydney. You will give commercially focused advice on complex financing transactions, working with borrower and financier clients across project finance, acquisition finance, corporate finance and real estate finance.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on matters within general banking, asset finance, project finance, corporate finance, acquisition finance and/or real estate finance.
• Deliver strategic legal advice based on strong technical knowledge and practical considerations.
• Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents.
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the PwC global network.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers.

Required profile

• Transactional legal experience in the banking and finance sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of domestic and cross-border financing transactions.
• Ideally 3 to 12 years' post-qualification experience in banking and finance, and cross-border and insolvency/restructuring experience.
• Leadership capability, including supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
• Desirable: experience in general banking, asset finance, project finance, acquisition finance, corporate finance or real estate finance.
