Training Specialist

About the role

Swissport is seeking a Training Specialist to design, deliver and manage both theoretical and practical training for ground operations staff across its global network. The role ensures training aligns with Swissport’s operating procedures, safety regulations and client expectations, providing a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑quality training programs, including theory, practical sessions, buddy shifts and competency assessments.
• Ensure compliance with WH&S Act, CASA, OTS regulations and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate training records (paper and electronic) and track training hours.
• Monitor participant performance, provide feedback and document any training issues.
• Identify training gaps, create training plans and continuously improve training functions.
• Collaborate with Training Coordinators, managers, supervisors and client representatives.
• Support operational compliance and contribute to new training material development.
• Promote a positive safety‑focused learning environment.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in an operational role, preferably within transport or aviation.
• Strong understanding of workplace health & safety responsibilities in a training setting.
• Accurate record‑keeping and administrative skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Previous experience in a training role with the ability to coach and develop others.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to safety, integrity and fairness.
