Training Coordinator

About the role

Thiess is looking for a Training Coordinator to join the Olive Downs mining project. Working on an 8/6 roster, you will manage all site‑based training activities, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company, client and legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain gate competency compliance, training records and LMS data accuracy.
• Coordinate course bookings, on‑site training sessions, assessments and inductions.
• Develop and update site Training Plans and Training Needs Analyses (TNA).
• Liaise with Training Specialists, Crew Trainers and other stakeholders.
• Support Health & Safety compliance, including Emergency Response Team training.
• Monitor training performance, reporting and audit readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement of proficiency‑based and new‑to‑industry training.

Required profile

• Experience managing complex Training Needs Analyses.
• Strong administrative background with online training systems.
• Certificate IV Trainer Assessor.
• High computer literacy.
• Ability to map training packages to recognised RII competencies.
• Experience with heavy earth‑moving equipment or mining maintenance is highly regarded.
