Training Compliance Officer – Mining Site

About the role

The Grosvenor Mine is preparing for a major restart and needs a dedicated Training Compliance Officer to manage all site‑based training activities. This full‑time, on‑site role ensures that training programmes meet corporate policies, legislative requirements and the specific needs of an underground coal operation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for training enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and maintain training records, identify skill gaps and work with leaders to close them.
• Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of targeted training programmes, from planning to evaluation.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed best practices in training delivery.
• Maintain compliance with the site Training Needs Analysis and ensure crew proficiency levels are met.
• Oversee site training systems, including reporting, access control and compliance audits.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a similar site‑based training role.
• Experience with competency‑based training, preferably under the Resource Infrastructure Industry (RII) framework.
• Resilient, adaptable and able to champion best‑practice initiatives.
• Strong communication, prioritisation and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of competency‑based training principles and RII‑endorsed units.
• Familiarity with training management and compliance audit processes.
• Ability to use training record systems and generate related reports.
