Training and Development Manager

About the role
The Training and Development Manager will lead Pacific Energy’s workforce capability initiatives, designing and delivering high‑impact learning programs that support business objectives and measurable performance improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and oversee early‑career programs, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and best practice.
- Conduct training needs analysis, identify capability gaps, analyse development data and engage stakeholders to define outcomes.
- Design and develop technical training programmes in partnership with leaders and subject‑matter experts.
- Facilitate engaging workshops covering behavioural, technical, compliance and safety capabilities.
- Develop, manage and govern LMS modules within the HRIS to support effective learning delivery.
- Execute training projects end‑to‑end, meeting timelines, budgets and coordinating with external partners.
- Guide, mentor and develop the training team.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development or a related discipline.
- Certificate IV in workplace training and assessment.
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development.
- Strategic thinker able to align learning initiatives with business goals.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills with a solid understanding of adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated leadership capability.
