Traffic Coordinator

About the role

Garde Services is looking for an experienced and motivated Traffic Coordinator to oversee and coordinate all traffic management operations for its projects. The role keeps traffic flowing safely and effectively while teams work on site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs) and apply Road Occupancy Licenses (ROLS)
• Manage Traffic Controllers and coordinate daily allocations across multiple work sites
• Manage and coordinate traffic control vehicles and equipment
• Ensure compliance with road authority requirements and safety standards
• Carry out site inspections, risk assessments and compliance checks
• Coordinate road closures, permits and traffic diversions
• Liaise with clients, councils, project managers and relevant authorities
• Maintain accurate records, reports and project documentation
• Prepare and issue monthly client invoices

Required profile

• Proven experience in traffic management or a similar role
• Valid Traffic Control Certificate and White Card
• Strong leadership skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on safety and compliance
