Tour Manager – Regional Tourism Operations

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tour Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Tours, a regional tourism business located on the coast of South Australia. Reporting directly to the owners, you will combine operational oversight, staff leadership and hands‑on participation in guided oyster farm tours to ensure a safe, high‑quality experience for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and conduct guided oyster farm tours, ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.
• Plan and coordinate daily tour schedules, logistics and operational delivery.
• Oversee overall business operations, including staff recruitment, training, roster management and performance supervision.
• Handle payroll processing, invoicing, financial reconciliation and cash handling.
• Manage procurement, supplier relationships and inventory control for tour supplies.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Prepare operational reports and performance updates for the business owners.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of full‑time experience in a Tour Manager or Tourism Management role.
• Proven ability to supervise staff and manage daily business operations in a small‑to‑medium tourism setting.
• Experience with payroll, invoicing and financial reconciliation processes.
• Strong organisational, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and peak tourism periods and to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Readiness to relocate to Coffin Bay if not already residing in the area.
