Terminal Operator – Flying & Relieving Crew

About the role

Pacific National is seeking a full‑time Terminal Operator for its Flying & Relieving Crew at the Brisbane Freight Terminal. The role involves supporting intermodal operations, travelling to other Pacific National locations when required, and upholding the company’s safety‑first promise.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan train assembly and dismantling within terminal environments.
• Operate Reach Stackers and conduct shunting activities.
• Perform train examinations and brake testing in line with rail standards.
• Process freight movements and documentation using computerised systems.
• Adhere to all safe‑working, trackside, and terminal operating procedures.
• Travel to other Pacific National sites to relieve operational requirements as needed.

Required profile

• Strong safety mindset with a commitment to daily safe practices.
• Adaptable, willing to travel and able to work in a fast‑paced terminal environment.
• Full Driver’s Licence.
• Reach Stacker licence.
• General computer proficiency.
